The bombilla is dishwasher safe. We recommend hand washing the colored mate cups – otherwise, staining may occur depending on water hardness and detergent. It's best to simply rinse both briefly under running water.

Stainless steel is robust, shatterproof, and easy to clean. A traditional gourd requires regular maintenance and can develop mold. With stainless steel, you enjoy pure mate flavor – effortlessly. Ideal for on the go.

Simply rinse with warm water. Use dish soap if needed. The silver version is dishwasher safe – we recommend hand washing for colored mugs.

Step 1:Place the insert in the mate cup. Heat water to 60–80°C, pour some into the cup (until the insert is covered), and pour the rest into the thermos.

Step 2:Pour in the mate and form an even mound. Push the bombilla through the mound of mate until it reaches the bottom.

Step 3:Let it steep for about 1 minute, then drink. Before pouring more, use the bombilla to make a small hole.

Step 4:Keep topping up. If the mate becomes too weak, rinse it with fresh leaves under running water. Cheers!

Tip:Enjoy immediately after pouring – do not let it steep.

How do I prepare mate tea in a stainless steel cup?
